Thinking Church Out Loud

There is a lot of talking about church right now. This is particularly true in my tribe; the United Methodist Church. I am naturally more of a listener than a talker. It takes some time before I feel like I have heard all that I need to hear to offer an appropriate thought out loud (shout out to all the Enneagram 5s). As a result, I listen to many more conversations than I contribute to, especially in the online world. Yet, I like to think that I may have some useful contributions. So, here I am starting one more blog to fill your Facebook timelines and Twitter streams.
I hope to use this space to bring together my thoughts on the many ongoing conversations on church and beyond. Sometimes I may even have fully formed thoughts. However, I expect that more often I will offer thoughts in their adolescence. As most of us remember, adolescence is an awkward time. It is risky to offer less than fully mature ideas, but I believe some of the best conversations occur when people agree to give space to think out loud. So that is what I offer here. I pray my posts are met with grace as I intend to meet responses likewise. Let us think out loud together.
